GREENMOUNT WEST COMMUNITY CENTER FOUNDATION

“The Greenmount West Community Center Foundation serves as an incubator to develop the greatness and talents of Black youth and their families. We exemplify consistent, high-quality investment in the Greenmount West community and Baltimore City at large.”

SOCIAL PRESCRIBING IN GREENMOUNT WEST

The Greenmount West Community Center implements social prescribing for Greenmount West residents of all ages, with a focus on our families and seniors. We identify Greenmount West residents in need of social-emotional support and connect them with essential resources such as fresh produce and non-perishables, household and personal supplies, housing support, and youth programming. Currently, we have a list of over 30 seniors and 14 families in Greenmount West with whom we contact for weekly wellness check-ins and needs assessments.

BLACK WOMEN & GIRLS

The Greenmount West Community Center serves all community members while offering enhanced programming for Black women and girls. Read below to find out more about our targeted support for Black women and girls, a demographic who, historically and currently, is under supported and underfunded.
